Arachne is a transmortal weaver who controls spiders. She assists the Smiths in The Drowned Vault and The Empire of Bones, saving them on multiple occasions.
History
Minerva an immortal challenged Arachne to a weaving contest. Whoever lost the contest would die. She cursed Arachne's loom so that it split. Arachne cast prayers to the sky and suddenly she could weave using the spiders. She won the contest and Minerva died. Arachne became a transmortal. She was hunted for charms, cloaks, strength, and healing. She seeked the shelter of the O. of B and found protection.
